Rating 9 of 10 This game has been a looooong time in coming. Ever since that first movie came out millions of jedi-wanna-be’s have whacked each other in the head with carboard tubes, sticks, and anything else that could represent a lightsaber. Now not only cna you play as not one but three people that have a lightsaber along with blasters, axes and a gaffi stick used by a guy named Hoar. Graphics: 9 The graphics for this game are superb.The arenas are fluid and crisp with animation in the backround that are a nice addition to the fighting. The characters are very detailed being able to pretty much see everything you would on the character even down to their weapon.Although the skins still make some characters look weird i.e. chewbacca’s bellbottoms. Control: 9 Easiest controls out of all the games I’ve played. The buttons respond effectivley and fluently and besides for some forgetting of which button is which like with side-stepping, the configuration is easy to remember. Teh biggest downfall is that some of the super moves require an extremly lengthy string. I still can’t do Hoars special. Sound: 10 The game has most of the memorible themes from the movies. Also the sound effects are genuine too. ‘nuff said Innovation: 8 As stated earlier, people have always wanted this game just to be able to weild a lightsaber.But unfortunatly the psx artery is clogged with fighters and this game is easily passed by just because of that. If its sequel would come out at the beginning of PS2 when fighters aren’t as common........ Fun Factor: 9 Use the Jedi Swing luke.....Use the Jedi swing....... come on who doesn’t want to play as Vader and be able to layeth the smack down on Luke? Overall: 9 With The Phantom Menace coming out in about a month as of this writing the Force Fever has been started again and people are looking for any type of star wars fix. This is a serious MRÔ recomendation for any Star Wars nut or someone who just likes the movie and fighting games. Pick it up if you’re bored of Tekken 3.
